Review: Country Meadow's Simply Soft Sugar Cane Body Scrub

Exfoliation - a few years ago I didn't give it a second thought, but now I realize just how naïve I was. See, when you're in your teens and 20s and your skin cells are regenerating like crazy, you never think that the day is going to come when they go into slow motion mode, leaving you to wonder what in the world just happened to your once smooth-without-effort skin. Sure, most of us experience dry skin during winter, no matter how young we are, but most of us just slap on some lotion and are done with it. Oh, the foolishness of youth.

Not only do I see now that exfoliation is one of the best ways to get rid of those pesky dead skin cells that build up and make my skin look dull and grumpy, but I've also come to see that skin scrubby things can make for a fantastically aromatic bathtime. Since I missed out on all of this wonderfully scented exfoliation time when I was younger, I have some catching up to do!

Country Meadow's Body Scrubs are a great place to start on one's journey to becoming an exfoliating pro. I can, and have, used their sugar scrubs on everything from my thankful feet to my parched winter knuckles, and I saw the difference as soon as I rinsed. I've mentioned my fascination with Country Meadow's sugar scrub formulation before, and I'll reiterate here. This sugar scrub turns into such a thick, moisturizing lotion when it emulsifies that I'm always completely mesmerized. Yes, I confess, I'm an emulsification fangirl.

I highly recommend Country Meadow's Simply Soft Sugar Cane Body Scrubs. Both men and women can benefit from these exfoliating scrubs, and they come in a number of scents that will appeal to both. My favorite was Kahve, which smells just like big cup of coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love the smell of coffee, and this was right up my alley. However, not to be upstaged by Kahve are some of my other favorites: Brown Sugar and Cinnamon, an irresistible blend of sweet sugar and spicy cinnamon, and Gingerbread, a real standout that is rich with molasses and spice notes.
